Due to using my e90 to much I'm selling my e36.

Photos can be seen on piston heads ad

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3901802.htm

For sale is a stunning and rare colour late E36.

This is a genuine sport that has only done a very low 60,000 miles and has spent most of it's life owned by a 80 year old gentleman. It has been garaged from new.

I'm only selling due to a lack of space and use over the last 6 months and the car is currently SORN.

A new MOT will be done this week on the car.

It has been factory ordered in a very rare dark Fern green metallic which BMW experts will know is a late E46 colour. The interior is white leather which contrasts beautifully with the exterior.

The car is complete with the factory Sport build spec which includes anthracite headlining (no sunroof), yellow uprated Bilstein dampers, M-technics steering wheel and the full M-technic bodykit which comprises of front and rear bumpers plus side skirts.

The car has been serviced by BMW for the majority of its life (until 2008) and then specialists after.

In the last 4,000 miles the following has been done to bring the car to stunning like new drive..

Major inspection II service at a real BMW specialist (the only person who has touched any of my BMW's for the last 12 years) and this comprised of;
- Engine oil and filter change (5W40 fully synthetic) - Gearbox oil change (Castrol full synthetic)
- Differential oil change (Castrol fully synthetic)
- 6 spark plugs
- Brake fluid change
- Coolant change
- Air/fuel/pollen filter changes
- New front brake discs, pads and sensor
- New rear discs, pads and sensor
- Eibach Pro-Control uprated lowering springs (the BEST springs available, but only a 15mm drop) Due to OEM spring being snapped, common e36/e46 problem

- Auxiliary drive belts
- 4 Wheel Alignment
- Rear Trailing Arm Bushes

Mechanically this car is like new. It actually drives like a new E36. From the crisp gearchange to the taught handling you won't find better.

A Simota (Gruppe M) intake has been fitted as shown in pictures, the factory air box fitting will be supplied with car to take it back to standard in about 5 mins if you wish.

The interior on the car is stunning. Only the drivers seat shows minimal wear with the passenger and rear seats being unused. The centre console and dashboard are unmarked and blemish free, and the leather on the steering wheel and gearknob still has the matt finish you have before leather ages. The car still bears the original factory fitted windscreen. The boot features the complete toolkit and first aid (unused) and the car still has the original supplying BMW dealers numberplates, tax disc holder and key fobs.

The bodywork on the car is again stunning. Having been garaged from new it has not weathered like most cars which are 11 years old, and has almost a new car look to it. There are very minimal stonechips. There is how ever one dent in the front wing that has not damaged the paint work, I have left it as I did not want to risk damaging the original paint work. This can be seen in the picture, and should be easy for a pro to remove.

Due to one of the door mirrors failing I decided to replace them with the M3 spec mirrors which are heated and electric and plugged straight in with no modifications! They were repainted by a professional bodyshop and at the same time I fitted a genuine BMW M3 EVO front lower chin spoiler. These are the only non 328i Sport additions, but make the car look fabulous!

I have all the owners books and all the keys with the car, plus lots of receipts and some MOT certificates.

The only negative with the car is the fact that the genuine BMW BBS 2 piece split rim alloys unique to this model have corroded and require refurbishment. This is something that I cannot undertake at the moment.

To surmise, a rare and stunning 328i Sport manual which really is fit for a collection.

Price: £3700

Thanks for reading

Thought i'd share my fix for my Tom Tom...

A few weeks ago my Tom Tom XL wouldnt find a signal, i tried everything I could while in the car, turning it off and on, doing the system reset etc etc nothing worked, then all of a suddon about 10 miles down the road it just started working..
Then on Sunday it worked fine on the way out, but on the way back turned it on and again no signal, again i tried everything I could while in the car, turning it off and on, doing the system reset etc etc nothing worked, but this time it stayed not working :( turned it on again yesterday and still nothing.....
So did a bit of research and apparently:
"Since Saturday 31st March some devices have been having issues getting a GPS signal. We have identified the root cause of the issue which has caused some of our GPS models to not get a GPS position. The issue is caused by a bug in a third party chip"

First of all I reset it back to factory settings, then plugged it in to my laptop, downloaded the Tom Tom software and let it do all the updates which took about 3 mins... at this point I turned it on but still nothing..
I then read I had to check that the version was 11.037.... if it wasnt try clearing the cache in MyTomTom and redownload by clicking on the TomTom icon in the lower-right corner of your computer screen to open the MyTomTom support application. Then click Settings, select the Cache tab, click Empty the cache and finally click Save settings.
Luckily for me I had this version, so I replugged the satnav back in to the laptop and it came up with another update which took about 10 mins.
I then manually reset the device by pressing the power button for just over 15 seconds until you hear the drum sound, took it outside and heypresto, i now have gps signal again :thumbup::thumbup:, hopefully this has fixed it and not just a fluke.... we'll see
